These two islands are some of the most beautiful and enchanting places on earth.
The island of Flores and the island of Corvo are both biosphere reserves, given the diversity of the fauna and flora that exists on them.
On our adventure, we challenge you to walk the trails in the volcano crater and follow the lagoons that feed the waterfalls that flow into the Atlantic.
Here, in this corner of the world, even the ocean has a shade of blue that you won’t see anywhere else.
Flores and Corvo island, walking paradise
Our trip will also challenge you to an epic canyoning experience.
Yes, we couldn’t go to the land of waterfalls without taking you on this marvelous adventure that is canyoning,
But you don’t return home, nor does this adventure end, without sailing between the waves and getting to know the slopes of the islands that ‘rip’ the waves.
Whilst sailing, we always wait for the dolphins to visit, and when they do, it’s always an extraordinary moment.
Words cannot describe what it feels like to see these animals playing with us and snorkeling next to the boat.
For a week you’ll have the opportunity to visit places that won’t leave you indifferent and that will fill your memories and sights.
As we like to say, if someone gives you flowers one day, it’s nice, it might even be romantic.
But if someone takes you to see Flores one day, that’s not romantic, it’s a fire that burns without being seen!

The island of Flores looks like a real heart from the sky!
Take the opportunity to watch a short film of the islands of Flores and Corvo to get an idea of the natural beauty of these places.
See you soon!

Flores and Corvo Islands, Azores
Explore the remote Azorean gems of Flores and Corvo, two volcanic islands filled with waterfalls, crater lakes, and dramatic coastal cliffs.
Hike along ancient trails through lush green valleys, rugged headlands, and tiny villages that time forgot.
Travel by boat between the islands and enjoy a mix of adventure and serenity surrounded by pure Atlantic nature.
Each day brings new landscapes — from the peaceful Caldeirão of Corvo to the roaring cascades of Flores.
Difficulty: Moderate — suitable for active hikers used to uneven terrain and daily walks of 10–15 km, with some steep or slippery sections.
Day 1- Arrival in Flores Island, Azores
This is the day you arrive in Flores, a true paradise in the middle of the Atlantic, for nature lovers who like to get to know a place by following the trails in search of the best landscapes, you’ve come to the right place, there’s nothing like this island. We don’t have any scheduled activities on this day, but if you need to plan something or want some tips, we can help.

Day 2-Hiking from Lajedo to Fajã Grande
The day begins with a short briefing on our adventure. On this, our first day of walking, we could describe this trail in great detail. To say that we passed Lajedo and Mosteiro, always along green paths with the blue sea beside us. That we would see the Rocha dos Bordões, a geological formation more than 570,000 years old, which always has a different perspective, formed due to the rapid cooling of the basalt rock. But it would all be irrelevant. Because no matter how much you write or say about this day, what will remain in your memory forever will be the moment you enter Alagoinha, Lagoa das Patas (Ribeira do Ferreiro Well), you can choose the name, but we know one thing for sure. You’ll discover a magical place that you’ll never forget. Here is a set of waterfalls plunge down a huge green slope 200 meters high into a large lake. What a place. After contemplating this place, it’s time to head to Fajã Grande for a dip in the natural pools (Difficulty 2+, 10 km).

Day 3- Hiking Miradouro das Lagoas – Poço do Bacalhau
There are seven lagoons right in the centre of the island, and on this trail we’ll visit three of them, Lagoa Comprida, Lagoa Funda and Lagoa Branca.
We’ll bury our feet up to our knees in mossy peat bogs until we reach a very high plateau where we’ll truly realise the meaning of the island’s name.
Then we’ll start a descent with a unique view that won’t leave your memory any time soon: on one side Fajãzinha, in front of you Fajã Grande and far out on the horizon America (you won’t be able to see it 🙂 and on the left the end of Portugal, the islet of Monchique, the westernmost point of the European continent.
As if that weren’t enough, we’ll go to Poço do Bacalhau to see one of the island’s most fabulous waterfalls, 95 metres high. Here the bravest will be able to venture into the water after hearing the legend of the Poço do Bacalhau. On the way back to the hotel, we’ll have the chance to visit the other lagoons on the island (difficulty 2+, 10 km).

Day 4- Hiking from Ponta Delgada to Fajã Grande
Ready to walk Europe’s most westerly trail? We’ll walk along the coast, feeling the salty wind, with Corvo in the distance on the horizon and the islet of Monchique beside us. At one point we’ll have to enter a forest with magical trees, but for that we’ll have to make a vertiginous descent, easily overcome by the breathtaking view of Fajã below. A day of deep valleys, cliffs, points and coves, the Azores at its deepest ( Difficulty 2+, 10 km).

Day 5-Caldeirão Corvo Hiking – Corvo Island Crossing by boat
If there are unique trails, this is certainly one of them, and it’s certainly the best-kept secret. We’ll go to the archipelago’s only volcano island, and as if that weren’t enough, we’ll even enter its collapsed crater, Caldeirão. But there’s no need to worry, the volcano is extinct. Did you know that due to its small size and high conservation status, Corvo has the largest number of endemic species in the archipelago per square kilometer? We’ll walk around the caldera along Lagoa do Caldeirão, in a unique environment flanked by the walls of this crater that seems to rip through the shades of blue. There will be time to enjoy this piece of paradise. But this adventure begins before you get there, nothing like the experience of travelling between the two islands. Flores and Corvo. We’ll sail through the crystal-clear waters of the Atlantic, where dolphins often come to challenge us! And if we’re lucky, the whales will show up to say ‘hello’ (Difficulty 1 /5 kilometers)
