What is the best time to visit Portugal?

The high season in Portugal extends from mid-May to mid-September. It’s a great time to travel to Portugal and you should expect good weather conditions. July and August can get sensibly hotter, especially if traveling away from the coastal areas and into the mountains. In this case, we recommend the Winter and Spring months, with good traveling offers and compatível prices – but you should expect some rain and cold, especially during the months of December and January.

The weather conditions do vary within certain regions and islands, but all the information (including whether etiquette related) will be provided when the reservation is confirmed so that you enjoy your journey to the fullest.

How should I pack and what kind of special gear should I bring with me for your Walking or Cycling experiences?

With the reservation confirmation email, Portugal Outside will send to all participants the specifics to each travel experience. This way we avoid unpleasant surprises on the arrival in Portugal and at the start of the journey due to lack of materials or misfitting gear. Still, we are here to help with everything you need to prepare.
